Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner. Helping maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment. Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance. Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures set-ups. Providing compassionate care to the patients. Facilitating any necessary diagnostic tests (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasounds, etc.) and referrals to medical specialists for follow-up care. Ability to maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the duration of scheduled shift. They are responsible for locating and obtaining a patient's medical history, documenting dictated notes during a patient visit on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and facilitating diagnostic tests, all while providing unparalleled customer service to the patients. Multilingual and American Sign Language (ASL) plus.Ī Medical Scribe is responsible for relieving a physician of their clerical duties, thereby allowing a physician to focus their attention on providing the best care to the patient. Assist the physician in reviewing test results and responding to them as necessary.Review messages to the physician daily and inform the physician of any urgent messages, even if the physician cannot respond at that moment.Assist the physician in responding to phone notes, nurse notes, appends, flags, and any other messages from patients, patients’ families, other physicians, or employees.Assist the physician in reviewing his desktop. Send letters summarizing the office visit to the appropriate physicians, if applicable.Assist the physician in completing all individual sections of documentation of an office visit.Assist the physician with medical documentation of a patient’s office visit, according to the physician’s preferences.
